I think all photographers are a little scared at first to display their work, or start a business. At least, that’s the case for me.
But It’s a part of life- Learning to deal with fear, that is 🙂 And there’s a first for everything.
So I’m taking a leap.
In honor of Mother’s Day in May, I’m offering mini sessions. We’re not forever going to stay within the protecting arms of our mother or stay at her side. We’re like birds who grow up in the nest then fly away. So my intention is to capture the moments (while we’re together in one nest) with my camera lens and stick them on a print that will hopefully make it into frames. 😉
Go to “Mommy and Me” to learn more and find out the reason that I’ll be donating 30% to i58.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and let your mom know you love her 🙂
Today is the birthday of a very special girl. This girl is an extraordinary one. This girl is one that We’ll never forget.
When we first met Esther, we clicked right away. Since the day we first met her, we look forward to every chance we can get together with her. 🙂
Esther brings so much laughter and joy into our lives! For example, Almost every time she comes to our house, she makes my mom cry with laughter. 😉 It’s Her funny little comments and witty sentences that keep us all laughing. We’re so Thankful that our paths have crossed. We’re so thankful for you, Esther, and Happy Birthday!
It’s [almost] spring again, and we’re loving it. It’s the time of year when new life is everywhere. Lambs and kids (baby goats) are being born, the grass is turning greener, the trees [will soon be] budding, the sun stays longer, and the world is just a lot warmer. Yup, This weather is perfect!
Yesterday, I was so inspired to get out my camera again and shoot for great pictures. And I got that accomplished!
These pictures of David were taken yesterday evening… and yes, it was so warm that he could go barefoot 😉
So, here’s David, with all his charm and smiles.
I can hardly believe that he’s already nine months old!
The way he crawls makes me laugh. He does it with such passion… like he’s on a mission, which he usually is 🙂
His cute little wave 🙂
Oh, he gets L O T S of these 😉
Have a blessed day! (and here is a good-bye from David)
I knew it before, but recently, I realized afresh that a blog post in the drafts doesn’t really help anything. So, I decided to get it out of the drafts and let you all see it 🙂
And it’s good I did, because I have something wonderful to share with you! Peanut Butter Apple Dip! Yeah, apples are *great* with peanut butter, but with a few extra ingredients in there, it adds a wonderful flavor. And it makes for a yummy treat!
If you know Suze and I well, you might be surprised that I’m the one posting this, since she is the one that is almost peanut-butter-crazy. 🙂 But I really like this dip… as we all do around here. As you can see in the photo above, (and if you compare photos) It was getting devoured fast! Here is what you’ll need:
1 cup unsweetened peanut butter (We used the natural, crunchy stuff)
We would love to know what you want us to post more about in 2016. We are hoping to get started with blogging more regular again. So if you would just take a minute and let us know what you want, it would be very much appreciated! And all you folks who never comment, we would love to hear from you also!
You will no longer find us at ssistersphotography. After coming to the conclusion that we no longer wanted to post just photography, we decided to change our blog address to thestoltzfussisters.wordpress.com. You will be seeing a lot more recipes and fun stuff… Not just photography, although we will occasionally post photo shoots. We hope the “new” blog will inspire you all 🙂
For those of you who do not know me very well, one of my favorite “foods” is peanut butter or anything with peanut butter in it. So of course whenever I get a chance I am quick to make some of my favorite peanut butter desserts. On the top of my list are these Peanut Butter Blossoms. This is the same recipe that my Mom used when she worked in her parents bakeshop before she was married.
The Hershey kiss on top just tops it off perfectly. Peanut butter and chocolate anyone??

Peanut Butter Blossoms
1 1/4 cups shortening
1 1/4 cups peanut butter
5 T. milk
4 1/2 cups flour (full)
2 1/2 t. soda
1 1/4 t. salt
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
Cream shortening, peanut butter, eggs and milk. Add dry ingredients and roll into balls then roll in granulated sugar* before you bake them. (I did not roll mine in sugar but they were still very good and turned out great.) Bake 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
After you get them out of the oven put a Hershey Kiss in the center. It will melt a little but put it in a cool place and it will get hard again. Make approximately 6 dozen.
*optional, they aren’t as sweet if you don’t roll them in sugar
I would love it if you would let me know if you made these and then let me know if you enjoyed them.
Another thing I would love if you would let us know what you would like to see more of on our blog here. Whether it be more recipe’s or posts about our life/updates. If you have any suggestions please let us know in the comments below (even you that never commented before we would love to hear from you).
Today we have exciting news for you! My friend, Kaitlin, and I are launching a new blog.
You can find us at Joys from Within.
Our purpose for Joys from Within blog is to encourage and inspire people. It could be a recipe, story, or something we’re learning, and we hope that it inspires you and that God will receive all the glory!
I will continue blogging on here, although it might not be quite as often. 🙂
It’s coming in several hours. A fresh, brand new year with no mistakes in it yet. (paraphrased from Anne of Green Gables) And it has been a great year! as always, we learned a lot, made lots of mistakes, and tried again.
Something interesting from WordPress about our year in blogging is this: A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 3,903 times in 2015. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 3 trips to carry that many people.
This past Sunday our family went up to Middle Creek wildlife center. We love going to this place every fall because it is an awesome place to go hiking and the fall colors and leaves are just glorious.
So, I thought I would share some of the pictures we took. Enjoy!!
Playing in all the leaves that were there was so much fun for us all, as we don’t have many leaves here at our place…
Some of the beautiful views…
More of the handsome people in my family.
Kathy with chicken pox and all…
I got to carry this big guy around. He did amazing though, sleeping most of the time we were hiking…
Caleb has some of the most hilarious expressions…
Well, there you have a little glimpse of what we might do on a beautiful fall day. I hope you all are having an amazing fall. Enjoy it to the fullest because before you know it winter will be here.
